I wanted to work on a fantasy project, so have been working on this orc and a huntress character in conjunction. They're both still work in progresses.
The concept for this character is that he's escaped from some form of imprisonment or enslavement, and has had to piece his outfit together from scraps of leather and other elements he's found along the way.
I used Marvelous Designer to achieve the base cloth folds, which were later tweaked and detailed further in Zbrush. This was also my first time testing out substance painter, using the texture outputs from there as bases to start on and tweak further in photoshop. I also used it to detail up elements like the skin and leather loincloth further. All shots are realtime in Marmoset Toolbag 2.
